Georgian president meets French president behind closed doors

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili met with the French President Nicolas Sarkozy within the congress of the European People's Party (EPP), which took place in Marseille.
After the meeting held behind the closed doors Saakashvili told journalists that President Sarkozy once again stressed that Georgia should become the EU member.
"Sarkozy spoke in details that Georgia should become an EU member. So far, no one spoke such openly about it. This is Georgia's only future, which has no alternative," Saakashvili said.
Saakashvili attended the EPP 20th Congress. European leaders are discussing crisis of the Eurozone and issues regarding euro salvation in Marseille.
