Employees of the Georgian prosecution bodies and the financial police conducted searches in the houses of former senior officials and director general of "Rustavi-2" TV company Nika Gvaramia at night.
Nika Gvaramia, former Minister of Finance and Energy Alexander Khetaguri, former Deputy Minister of Economy Kakha Damenia and "Telasi" director general Devi Kandelaki have been recently detained.
As a result of search operations, computer equipment belonging to all family members, including children were taken from the apartments of Gvaramia and former Minister of Finance and Energy Alexander Khetaguri.

Khetaguri was transferred to the building of the Constitutional Security Department under the Interior Ministry. Gvaramia, former Deputy Minister of Economy Kakha Damenia and "Telasi" director general Devi Kandelaki are in Tbilisi's pretrial detention center.
The charges have not been announced yet.
All the detainees are suspected of embezzling $1 million for allegedly rendering the consulting services to Inter RAO.
