Georgia's Defense Minister Irakli Alasania met with the Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps General James Amos.
The parties positively assessed the cooperation between Georgian Armed Forces and U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Georgian Defense Ministry told Trend on Friday.
According to Alasania, Georgia is proud to be the participant of ISAF mission (International Security Assistance Forces) together with American Marine Corps.
Georgia's special contribution to promotion of stability and security in Afghanistan was noted during the meeting.
Instructors of U.S Marine Corps Forces play an important role in training Georgian military personnel to participate in counterterrorism operations.
