WB confirms readiness to provide future financial assistance to Georgia

Georgian Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri met with the Vice-President of the World Bank (WB) for Europe and Central Asia, Laura Tuck during his visit to the U.S., the Georgian Finance Ministry told Trend on Friday.

According to the information, the parties discussed the progress of WB programmes in Georgia and future cooperation.

"This meeting confirms that the bank is ready to continue cooperation with Georgia and at the same time to assist in financing such important areas as health, education, agriculture and infrastructure," Khaduri said.

According to Tuck, the World Bank will continue financing the various priority sectors in the country.

"The bank is willing to enhance cooperation," the World Bank vice -president said.
