Georgia is going to the Vilnius summit with a very good result. According to the President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili, the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU within a year remains as the main strategy of the government.
"We have held exemplary, European type elections which is an extremely good prerequisite in order to stand before the Europe. We believe that Georgia is an integral part of Europe. We make emphasis on the future plans following the initialing period and signing of the agreement," the president said.
Georgian society and political spectrum have common view on the issue of Georgia's choice, the president said.
"We stressed that this is a choice around which the whole society is actively consolidated. Accordingly, we will eliminate any difficulties and challenges that can emerge both as the country's leadership and a society together. Of course, an ambitious plan related with the signing of the association document within a year remains the main strategy of the government." The president said.
Margvelashvili will head the Georgian delegation at "Eastern Partnership" summit in Vilnius on Nov.28-29.
