Gurjaani, a town in Kakheti, the seat of the Gurjaani Municipality in eastern Georgia, will host the Cheese and Culinary Festival on October 26, Trend reports citing Georgian media outlets.
Various events will be held to promote the Georgian traditional cuisine.
The exhibition will showcase Georgian cheese and other agricultural products, along with the artistry of making traditional cheese dishes.
Jazzed up by traditional music and local ethno ensembles, the event will come to a crescendo with a culinary show of the finalists for Bocuse d’Or. The Bocuse d'Or is a biennial world chef championship.
Although no novice in hosting food and wine festivals, this is the first time Gurjaani is hosting such a diverse and wide-reaching event.
