BAKU, Azerbaijan, Apr. 5
By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:
China will present Georgia some 100,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine in April, Trend reports via Georgian media.
"Georgia received 100,000 doses of Chinese Sinopharm vaccine last week and the country has plans to purchase the Chinese Sinovac vaccine in April, said head of Georgia’s National Center for Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze.
As he noted, currently China has established about five coronavirus vaccines and two of them, Sinonac and Sinopharm, have been spread internationally.
"Both vaccines are likely to be approved by the World Health Organisation (WHO) in mid-April and Georgia will launch vaccination after the approval," he said.
Georgia has reported 228 new cases of coronavirus, 425 recoveries and 11 deaths on the weekend.
