Georgia's exports of copper ores from January through October 2021 amounted to 328,467 tons, worth $655.6 million, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).
The current figure decreased by 3.2 percent, compared to $667.7 million (432,773 tons) over the same period of 2020.
Georgia’s copper ore exports (Jan. through Oct. 2021) accounted for the following countries:
China – $426.2 million (222,651 tons);
Bulgaria – $174.1 million (78,416 tons);
Spain – $51.6 million (26,980 tons);
South Korea – $3.5 million (420 tons).
Thus, China ranks first among Georgian copper ores export destinations from January through October 2021, while increasing the imports by 20 percent, compared to $355.1 million (241,229 tons) over first 10 months of 2020.
Meanwhile, total Georgia’s exports from January through October 2021 amounted to $3.3 billion – an increase of 24.9 percent, compared to $2.7 billion in the same period of 2020.
