Georgia’s imports from Iran triple

Georgia’s imports from Iran from January through November 2021 totaled $127.4 million – an increase of 214.5 percent, compared to $40.5 million over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).

However, Georgia’s exports to Iran over the reporting period of 2021 slightly decreased by 16.3 percent, compared to $26.9 million, and amounted to $22.5 million.

Meanwhile, Georgia’s total trade turnover with Iran from January through November 2021 amounted to $149.9 million, which is an increase of 122.4 percent, compared to $67.4 million over the same period of 2020.

Georgian total foreign trade turnover (excluding undeclared trade) from January through November 2021 amounted to $12.8 billion, which is 25.1 percent more than over the same period of 2020 – $10.2 billion.
