Georgia’s Imereti Agrozone Greenhouse Cluster Development Project has received 27 investment proposals from 10 countries, the director of the Imereti Agrozone Archil Bukia said, Trend reports, citing Georgian media.

According to the director, the negotiations with potential investors will take place in the upcoming months with subsequent contracts signing.

The largest amount of investment proposals has been received from Netherlands, which is mostly related to greenhouse constructions. The offers were also received from Israel, Italy, Germany, France, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and other countries, Bukia said.

“We have a demand for about 18 hectares of land to build different types of greenhouses. We have also received proposals for the logistics center development,” Bukia noted.

The price for 1 hectare of land in low-tech zones is 330,000 Georgian lari ($107,142), and in high-tech zones is about 780 000 Georgian lari ($253,246), while the deadline for the investment plan implementation is 2 years, Bukia added.
