Georgia’s copper ores imports from Azerbaijan from January through December 2021 amounted to $11.7 million, which is a decrease of 15.2 percent, compared to $13.8 million over 2020, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).
However, Georgia’s imports of copper ores from Azerbaijan only in December 2021 increased by almost 12 times, compared to November 2021 ($440,020), and totaled $5.2 million worth of imports. Meanwhile, Georgia did not import copper ores from Azerbaijan in December 2020.
Thus, Azerbaijan ranked 7 among main exporters of copper ores to Georgia over 2021, the report said.
Meanwhile, Georgia’s total imports of copper ores from January through December 2021 amounted to $736 million, which is an increase of 26.3 percent, compared to $582.3 million over 2020.
