Georgia’s imports of ferroalloys from January through December 2021 amounted to $3 million, which is an increase of 150 percent, compared to $1.2 million over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via the National Statistics Office (Geostat).
The volume of the imported ferroalloys also increased by 31.9 percent, compared to the same period of 2020 - from 1,183 tons to 1,561 tons.
Georgia’s imports of ferroalloys in December 2021 alone totaled $473,340 - an increase of 151.6 percent, compared to the same period of 2020 ($188,080). However, the same figure decreased by 21.6 percent, compared to November 2021 ($604,360).

Meanwhile, Georgia’s total imports in 2021 amounted to $10 billion – an increase of 25.1 percent, compared to $8 billion over 2020.
