As a result of attack of the Israeli Navy on an international flotilla carrying pro-Palestinian activists and tons of humanitarian aid, the leader of Islamic Movement in Palestinian Territories, Sheikh Raed Salah was killed, the Turkish TRT television channel reported.

As a result of attack of the Israeli Navy on an international flotilla carrying pro-Palestinian activists and tons of humanitarian aid, the leader of Islamic Movement in Palestinian Territories, Sheikh Raed Salah was killed, the Turkish TRT television channel reported.

According to exact data, 19 human rights activists were killed as a result of incident, most of which are Turkish citizens, hundreds of people were injured.

Head of the Lebanese humanitarian mission Dr. Hani Suleiman is also among the killed peoples. The Israeli military confirmed deaths of 10 people from fleet, RIA Novosti reported.

The "flotilla of freedom" consisted of six vessels carrying at least 600 human rights defenders and 10,000 tons of humanitarian cargo to a blocked Palestinian enclave. Israel previously banned the caravan from approaching the Gaza Strip, threatening to escort the vessels to a port and deport its passengers.
