Six people were wounded in bomb and gunfire attacks targeting the Iraqi police in Baghdad on Saturday, an Interior Ministry source said.
A roadside bomb struck a police patrol in Baghdad's northern district of Kadhmiyah, wounding three civilians and a policeman, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity, Xinhua reported.
In a separate incident, gunmen opened fire on a police checkpoint outside a court building in Baghdad's southwestern district of Bayaa, wounding two policemen, the source said.
Violence and sporadic high-profile bomb attacks continue in the Iraqi cities despite the dramatic decrease of violence over the last three years.
