Libyan fighters poured into a desert town held by forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi on Friday as explosions and gunfire echoed around the town's hills and valleys, Reuters reported.
Recently, anti-Gaddafi forces strengthened their attack on Bani Walid, supported by Nato air strikes. Officials say their forces are now within reach of the centre of the town.
