Jordanian authorities on Friday described as "baseless" reports about clashes between rival protesters in Amman that led to injuries, dpa reported.
"This report is baseless," said Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Khatib, adding that there was "friction between a limited number of ... people, none of them belonged to the government, and police intervened immediately to end it.
He said, "There were no casualties whatever."
Dozens of pro-reform activists demonstrated against corruption, after Friday prayers. An activist had said earlier that protesters were attacked and that some of them were hurt.
