Jalili: Iraq’s future is promising

Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili conferred on Monday visiting head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Ammar al-Hakim , IRNA reported.

In the meeting, Jalili lauded Iraq's success in overcoming its security and political problems. It is expected that all Iraqi political groups would pay attention to the welfare of people, he said.

The Iraqi government has taken comprehensive measures in dealing with its security problems and maintaining its stability, Jalili said, adding that regional cooperation with Iraq would helps restore security and stability to the entire region.

Jalili also referred to Iraq's significant role in the region and in international developments.

Ammar Hakim, for his part, briefed Jalili on the latest developments in Iraq and while referring to the foreigners' meddling in the country's internal affairs said collective cooperation among Iraqi ethnic groups for restoration of stability and tranquility to the country is very important.
