Two people have been killed and several injured after an explosion hit a southern area of the Lebanese capital Beirut on Wednesday, residents and a security source said.
The blast hit near the Kuwaiti embassy and the Iranian Cultural Chancellery in Beirut, Al Arabiya reported.
Beirut's southern suburbs are a stronghold of the militant movement Hezbollah and have been the target of several bomb attacks in recent months.
