BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 10. The Swedish government intends to triple the production of artillery ammunition and significantly increase the production rate in the coming years, Trend reports.
First of all, we are talking about 155 mm caliber shells supplied to Ukraine. In fact, their production has already increased, but according to the government, it is not enough.
The social democrats who are currently in the opposition are also in favor of increasing production. They suggest using government loan guarantees so that military industrial complex companies can expand their production capacity.
Targeted long-term procurement of munitions can also be implemented, and cooperation with other Scandinavian countries to reduce the delivery time of munitions in both Sweden and Ukraine.
