(News.Com.Au) FOUR asylum-seekers sneaked into Britain in the back of a truck carrying former prime minister Tony Blair's new official car, it was reported today.
The men were arrested when they jumped out of the truck, which had delivered the car to a police yard.
The ?100,000 ($230,570) BMW 7 Series with bulletproof glass and reinforced doors had been ordered from Munich by the Metropolitan Police's Counter-Terrorism Command, The Sun reported.
The newspaper said police had to return the car to BMW in Germany because its security had been compromised.
Scotland Yard confirmed that police arrested four men who were inside a car transporter which had just delivered a vehicle to police premises in south west London.
"They were arrested by police for alleged immigration offences and remain in custody. Police are liaising with the Immigration Service," a spokeswoman said.
