The Democratic candidate-designate for the
US presidential election, Barack Obama, is planning a trip to Iraq, Afghanistan
and Germany, the Chicago Sunday Times reported on its website Saturday, citing
Washington diplomats.
Germany is expected to be a transit stop when Obama visits Iraq and
Afghanistan, the newspaper reported.
No details of the trip were immediately available, but it was said that Obama
also wanted to include France and Britain in the trip.
Obama is possibly planning a visit to US troops on US Independence Day, July 4,
which is also the 10th birthday of his daughter, Malia.
His election campaign team was expected to release exact
details of the trip soon, dpa reported.
