French radio reported Tuesday that 43 persons have been killed in a suicide bomb attack against a police academy in eastern Algeria, dpa reported.
The radio report said a further 38 persons were wounded in the attack in the tonw of Issers, 60 kilometres east of Algiers.
The attacker drove a bomb-laden car into the main entrance of the school where police academy candidates were standing, the radio report said. Further details were not immediately available.
