David Duchovny Denies Affair With Tennis Instructor

(showbizspy.com) - David Duchovny has blasted British tabloid reports that he had an affair with his tennis coach.

The Mail on Sunday newspaper claimed that the actor - who is separated from wife Tea Leoni - became involved with Edit Pakay after he hired her for private tennis lessons and that the pair had been "physical" for at least six months.

But David's lawyer, Larry Stein, has shot down the claims, telling People.com, "The stories about an alleged affair between David Duchovny and his tennis instructor, Edit Pakay, are completely false.

"Ms. Pakay denied the rumors to me in person last Friday, saying they are just friends, and in addition, said in writing that such stories are 'lies and deceit.'"

Duchovny, 48, voluntarily checked himself into rehab for sexual addiction in August. He has remained friendly with Leoni, 42, since checking out in early October after having "successfully completed his treatment," according to Stein.
