Belarus, Moldova should use their potential for tourism development, ambassador says

Belarus and Moldova need to use their potential in full in order to develop the tourism, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Moldova Vasily Sakovich said at a meeting with the members of the Moldavian leading electronic and printed mass media on December 9 who paid a visit to Belarus in late November, BelTA informs.

Among the most promising areas of tourism development the diplomat named recuperation and health resort treatment for Moldavian people in Belarus. The diplomat emphasized that excellent conditions have been created in Belarus for these purposes. In particular, there is a good treatment and diagnostics base fitted with all up-to-date medical equipment, health centres located in the country's most picturesque places. Many Moldavians will be interested in fishing and hunting tours that are very popular with the people of Germany, Poland and other countries, agro-tours, excursions that help foreigners learn about Belarus' rich culture and history.

Vasily Sakovich has said that the Embassy of Belarus in Moldova is ready to provide assistance in setting up in Moldova the first information centre for tourism development. The relevant agreement has been earlier reached between the members of the TsentrKurort Company under the Property Management Directorate of the President of Belarus and the Association of Guides of Moldova.

The diplomat believes that the restoration of the direct air and railway communication between Belarus and Moldova will give a strong impetus to the development of the tourism.
