Spanish giants Real Madrid announced on Monday afternoon that their annual general assembly will be repeated on Sunday March 29, dpa reported.
The assembly was originally held on December 7 but it needs to be repeated because former club president Ramon Calderon smuggled unqualified delegates into it, in order to have his proposed budget and other measures approved.
Calderon was forced to resign two weeks ago because of this scandal, which was revealed by sports daily Marca.
Calderon handed over the presidency to close friend Vicente Boluda, who now has the task of repeating the assembly and of organizing end-of-season elections.
