Motorbike bomb kills 2, hurts 4 in S. Afghanistan

A bomb blasted in Taliban former stronghold Kandahar in south Afghanistan Thursday, killing two persons and injuring four others, police said.    "The bomb planted on a motorbike went off next to office of a construction company at around noon today, killing a child and an engineer of the company," a police officer at the site Gul Mohammad told Xinhua.
  
He also said four more employees of the company got wounded.
  
The company, according to the official, is a local one involved in constructing houses in the region.
  
No group or individuals have claimed responsibility.
  
Taliban fighters who have vowed to intensify activities this year in Afghanistan often carry out such attacks.
