6 dead, 4 missing as tropical storm Jolina leaves Philippines

At least six people were killed and four went missing as tropical storm swept across the Philippine archipelago, the country's disaster-relief agency reported Sunday, Xinhua reported.
   The six, including two 4-year-olds, drowned in the flood and land-slide triggered by the storm in northern and central Philippine villages, the National Disaster Coordinating Council said in a bulletin.
   About 22,000 families across the country were affected by the storm.
   According to the state weather forecast bureau, the storm was estimated at 230 km West Northwest of Laoag city in northwestern Luzon island at 4 a.m. Sunday. Packing maximum sustained winds of 75 kilo per hour (kph) near the center, the storm is forecast to move West Northwest at 22 kph.
