An explosion was heard Monday at the endangered Fukushima nuclear plant, Japan's public broadcaster NHK reported.
NHK said the sounds of a blast were heard at the Fukushima III plant in north-eastern Japan, where Friday's massive earthquake and tsunami disrupted the cooling system, dpa reported.
