A suicide bomber blew himself up outside the prime minister's office in Mogadishu on Tuesday causing several causalities, according to local Shabelle radio.
The blast comes as Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is to arrive in Brussels for meeting with key European officials. His presidential palace is located near the premier's office, dpa reported.
No one has claimed responsibility yet for the bombing. Al-Shabaab militants, although on the back foot since 2011, still control vast areas of southern and central Somalia and are able to stage deadly bombings in the capital.
