At least 44 people rescued from a Lion Air plane that crashed into sea on Saturday in Bali have got treatment for their injuries, press officers at the hospitals said.

In Kasih Ibu Hospital, in Kedongan, Bali, 33 people have got treatment, some of them are being treated for serious injuries, Putri Ariani, a press officer at the hospital told Xinhua by phone.

A 60-year-old woman has been treated intensively for her critical condition in another Kasih Ibu Hospital in Teuku Umar, a press official told Xinhua by phone from the hospital.

Separately, in Sanglah Hospital ten people have been treated for their injuries, Adek Nariani, a press officer at the hospital told Xinhua.

All 101 people on board the budget airlines plane survived the crash after it overshot the runway and plunged into sea while landing at an airport in Bali on Saturday afternoon, officials said.

Indonesian transport minister E.E. Mangindaan said the plane could not slow down due to its broken tail.

The accident happened when the plane from Bandung, the capital of West Java, was trying to land at an airport in Denpasar, the capital of Bali, at about two p.m. local time, Herry Bakti Gumai, director general for air transport at the transport ministry, told Xinhua.
