UK Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond says Prime Minister David Cameron will not resign after the Brexit vote.
“The country needs sense of continuity and stability and Cameron has made clear he will remain as PM,” Hammond was quoted as saying in a tweet posted by Sky News Newsdesk.
The UK held a referendum June 23 on whether to leave or to stay in the European Union.
Today, it has been announced that most of the votes are in favor of leaving the bloc.
