BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 2. Since the start of the Olympic Games, 200 people have been detained in Paris and its surroundings, said French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin, Trend reports.
He reported that 180 of these detainees are currently under surveillance.
In the Île-de-France region, security is provided by 35,000 police and gendarmes, 18,000 military personnel, and several thousand private security staff.
To note, the Olympic Games are taking place in Paris from July 26 through August 11.
