Turkish police seized 41 kg of heroin in eastern Turkey on Monday, Xinhua quoted the semi-official Anatolia news agency as reporting.
According to a tip-off, the police teams launched an operation against drug traffickers in eastern province of Erzincan, said the report.
The report added that the police stopped a car at the entrance of the city center and found the heroin stashed in its cache by the help of a sniffer dog.
Two suspected people in the car were arrested, said the report.
Turkey is a key transit route for smuggling drugs from Asia and the Middle East to markets in western Europe.
