Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has refused to make a vaccine against the swine flu, CNN Turk reported.

"I will not inoculate vaccine against swine flu," Erdogan said.

The number of victims of the swine flue has reached 9 people, the Turkish Health Ministry said, the Turkish Anadolu news agency reported.

On Nov.2, a 4-year old girl in Shanliurfa and a 13-year-old girl in Istanbul died of the A/H1N1 virus. A 65-year-old woman from Ankara also became a victim of the virus whose death was the ninth in a row.

The first case of death from swine flu was recorded in Istanbul on Oct.24.

Turkish Health Minister Recep Akdag said that the country has revealed more than 1,800 cases of swine flue. The minister also confirmed that the number of cases is considerably more.

Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyib Erdogan will be vaccinated against swine flue, the Health Ministry reported on Nov.3.  

Speaking at a meeting of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), Turkish Prime Minister Receb Tayyib Erdogan asked the Turkish people not to kiss each other when meeting to avoid from swine flue.

Vaccinations against the swine flu are not compulsory, the people can be inoculated voluntarily, Erdogan said.

"We cannot force anyone to vaccinate," the prime minister added.
