Three retired generals were interrogated in court in connection with the case of "Ergenekon" secret organization which is suspected in the coup attempt, CNN Turk reported.
Former Turkish Land Forces Commander Aytac Yalman, former Air Force Commander Ibrahim Halil Firtina and a former Navy Commander Ozden Ornek were questioned in Besiktas court in Istanbul for ten hours. After the testimony, they were released.
A naval colonel and lieutenant were arrested after being questioned in the same courthouse on Saturday. Their arrests were also under the umbrella of the "Ergenekon" investigation, but they were implicated in a separate plot, police said, Reuters reported.
