The ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party chairperson and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced his party's election manifesto for upcoming June 12 parliamentary elections in Ankara on Saturday, Anadolu Agency reported.
Erdogan said that election manifesto titled "Turkey is ready... Target 2023" was a road map for Turkey covering 12-year period till 2023, which marks the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Turkish Republic.
The election manifesto consisted of five main topics; "advanced democracy", "great economy", "strong community", "viable environment and brand cities" and "leading country", he said.
Erdogan said that the government achieved great successes in economy, democratization and basic rights and freedoms in the last eight and a half years.
"We will keep working for the process of democratization," he said.
"The most important project of our road map is 'new constitution project'. Everyone agrees that Turkey needs a new constitution which is democratic, liberal and modern. We will launch works for a new constitution after June 12 elections," he said.
