The number of patients with diabetes in Turkey increases by 17 percent every year, Turkish Minister of Labour and Social Development Faruk Celik said, Anadolu agency reported on Nov.15.
According to the minister, currently the estimated number of people with diabetes is 5.2 million.
The minister also stressed that the Turkish government makes every effort to prevent the increase of the number of people with diabetes in the country.
