By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend:

Turkey knew its friends and enemies on April 24, Turkish Minister for EU Affairs Volkan Bozkır said in an interview with TRT Haber TV channel May 1.

He said that Turkey will not forget about the countries which supported its position and those which supported Armenia in the issue of the so-called Armenian genocide.

Turkey celebrated the 100th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Canakkale on April 24.

The events timed to the centenary of the so-called Armenian genocide were held in Armenia on the same day.

The presidents of more than 20 countries attended the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Canakkale in Turkey.

Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that Turkey's predecessor, the Ottoman Empire allegedly carried out "genocide" against the Armenians living in Anatolia in 1915. Turkey in turn has always denied "the genocide" took place. While strengthening the efforts to promote the "genocide" in the world, Armenians have achieved its recognition by the parliaments of some countries.
