Turkey and the United States have agreed on a "safe zone" in northern Syria, Turkish Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Feridun Sinirlioglu told CNN Turk.
The "safe zone", to be patrolled by fighters from the rebel Free Syrian Army, would allow U.S. and Turkish forces to hit Islamic State or PKK militants if they entered the area, Feridun Sinirlioglu said.
