Baku, Azerbaijan, Aug. 16
By Rufiz Hafizoglu – Trend:
There are no problems between the representatives of the nationalities living in Turkey, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said, TRT Haber reported Aug. 16.
He added that there is one problem in Turkey - the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorist group, which aims to divide the country.
“As it turned out, the PKK has set a goal to turn Turkey into Iraq or Syria,” Yildirim said.
The conflict between Turkey and the PKK, which demands the creation of an independent Kurdish state, has continued for over 25 years and has claimed more than 40,000 lives. The UN and the European Union list the PKK as a terrorist organization.
