A Russian citizen, who is a member of the "Islamic State" (IS) terrorist group, has been detained in Turkey’s Kocaeli province in the north-west of the country, the Turkish media reported Feb. 1.
The detainee, whose name is not disclosed, was on Interpol's wanted list for taking part in the military operations in Syria.
It is expected that the terrorist will be transferred to the Russian authorities.
