Turkey’s Akinrobotics company plans to create combat robots, Turkish media reported March 6.
It is planned to develop combat robots in Konya province in the south-west of Turkey.
The development of combat robots is planned as part of strengthening Turkey's military industry.
Development of new types of robots is planned in Turkey in the subsequent years.
From 2011, Turkey has set up the production of mobile outposts that proved effective in fight against the militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), and also the Canik TP9 handguns, unmanned ANKA aircraft and other military equipment to strengthen the domestic defense industry.
