Ten members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) were killed this morning as part of the Turkish air force operations in Northern Iraq, Turkish media reported April 25.
The operations were carried out in the Avashin area.
Turkey's conflict with the PKK, which demands the establishment of an independent Kurdish state, continues for more than 30 years and claimed more than 40,000 lives. The PKK is recognized as a terrorist organization by the UN and the European Union.
