As many as 83,400 Turkish citizens were provided with workplaces in Turkey in Jan. 2019, which is five percent more than in Jan. 2018, the Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR) told Trend on Feb. 12.
Out of the total number of the employed in Jan. 2019, 34 percent are women and 66 percent are men, according to ISKUR.
"Among the jobs provided in Nov. 2018, 99.8 percent accounted for the private sector," ISKUR said.
"A total of 3.775 million people were registered as unemployed in Turkey in Jan. 2019," ISKUR said, adding that 51 percent of them are women and 49 percent are men.
Presently, the population of Turkey is 82.3 million people.
Thus, 50.2 percent of the population of Turkey accounts for men, 49.8 percent – for women, 7.7 percent of the population of Turkey live in villages, 92.3 percent in cities.
