In April 2019, 111,600 tourists from Iran visited Turkey, which is 6.76 percent less compared to April 2018, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The share of Iranian citizens comprised 3.39 percent of the total number of foreigners who visited Turkey during the reporting period.
In January-April 2019, 558,700 tourists from Iran visited Turkey, which is 34.88 percent less compared to January-April 2018.
"The share of Iranian citizens in the total number of foreigners who visited Turkey in January-April 2019 was 6.4 percent," the ministry said.
In April 2019, 3.293 million tourists visited Turkey, which is 24.01 percent more compared to April 2018.
During the reporting period, over 1.3 million tourists visited Istanbul, while 931,000 tourists - Antalya.
In January-April 2019, 8.735 million tourists visited Turkey, which is 12.22 percent more compared to the same period of 2018.
