Turkey's export of steel to Turkmenistan has increased by more than 105 percent from January through February 2020, amounting to $13.3 million, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade told Trend.
In February 2020, Turkey’s export of steel to Turkmenistan made up $9.9 million, which is 68.8 percent more compared to the same month of 2019, the ministry noted.
From January through February 2020, export of steel from Turkey to world markets dropped by 9.5 percent compared to the same period of the last year, amounting to $2.1 billion.
Turkey’s steel export amounts to 7.4 percent of country’s total export for the reported period.
In February 2020 Turkey exported steel worth more than $1 billion to world markets, which is 15 percent less than in the same month of 2019.
Turkey’s steel export share in the country’s total export made up 6.9 percent in February 2020.
In the last 12 months, i.e. from January through February 2020 Turkey has exported steel in the amount of $13.6 billion.
