Volume of LPG transshipment via Turkish ports revealed

The volume of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) transshipment via the Turkish ports exceeded 617,909 tons from January through February 2020, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on April 3.

During the reporting period, the volume of LPG transshipment by vessels flying the Turkish flag via the Turkish ports amounted to 22,829 tons.

Meanwhile, ships flying the flag of other countries transported 595,080 tons of LPG via the Turkish ports.

From January through February 2020, LPG wasn’t transported by transit through the Turkish ports.

Over the reporting period, the volume of cargo transshipment via Turkish ports made up 62.4 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment by vessels flying the Turkish flag amounted to 4.5 million tons from January through February 2020.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying their countries' flag made up 2.6 million tons, and by ships flying the flag of other countries amounted to 55.2 million tons.

From January through February 2020, over 12.5 million tons of cargo transshipment in transit were carried out through Turkish ports.

The volume of cargo transshipment through the Turkish ports exceeded 29.5 million tons in February 2020.

During the reporting month, the volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 2.1 million tons.

In February 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying their countries' flag made up 1.1 million tons, and by ships flying the flag of other countries amounted to 26.1 million tons.

Over 6.3 million tons of cargo transshipment in transit were carried out during February 2020 through Turkish ports.
