Around 4,687 cargo transportation runs were carried out from Turkey to Russia by Turkish trucks from January through May 2020, which is 7 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).
Russia accounts for 1.02 percent of the total volume of cargo transportation from Turkey by trucks for the reporting period, the association said.
In May 2020, 1,014 cargo transportation runs by Turkish trucks was carried out from Turkey to Russia, which is 3 percent less compared to May 2019.
In the first 5 months of 2020, the number of foreign transport by Turkish trucks amounted to 459,738 runs, a decrease of 11 percent compared to the same period of 2019, the UND noted.
In May 2020, 89,760 cargo movement runs were carried out by Turkish trucks, which is 20 percent less compared to May 2019.
