Turkey increased exports to D-8 countries (Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Pakistan) by 23 percent in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the same period of 2020, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.
“Following an increase in export volume, its value surpassed $2.34 billion,” said the ministry.
As reported, in March 2021, Turkey's exports to D-9 countries rose by 56.5 percent compared to the same month of 2020, topping $831.3 million.
According to the ministry, Turkey's imports from the D-8 countries in the first 3 months of this year increased by 20.5 percent compared to the same period of 2020, amounting to $2.3 billion.
“Turkey's imports from D-8 countries in March 2021 increased by 39.9 percent compared to the same period of 2020, amounting to $854.7 million,” the ministry said.
