Turkey reports increase in 4M2021 clothes exports to Kazakhstan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 18

The value of Turkey’s export of clothes to Kazakhstan rose 1.3 times from January through April 2021 compared to the same period of 2020, totaling over $111.3 million, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.

In April 2021, Turkey’s export of clothes to Kazakhstan soared 17 times compared to the same month of 2020, exceeding $22.5 million, the ministry said.

Overall, the country’s export value of clothes increased by 32.3 percent from January through April 2021 year-on-year, exceeding $6.3 billion.

Turkey exported clothes worth $1.6 billion in April 2021, which is 184.7 percent more than in April 2020.

The Turkish export of these products amounted to $18.7 billion over the past 12 months (from April 2020 through April 2021).
